Detour honestly surprised me a lot. It really feels like giving an artist more creative freedom actually works, because Kim sounds much more alive and confident here. The album is super high-energy and electronic, but still very pop and easy to enjoy. She clearly knew how to build this sound, and the result is a really strong and fun project.
