What I think.
What makes this EP work so well is that it feels like there is an actual story being told from beginning to end. It is not just a collection of songs that happen to share the same aesthetic or sound. There is a progression between them, and the more I listen to the project as a whole, the clearer that progression becomes. It gives the EP a sense of purpose that I really appreciate.
NATURAL is a very smart opening for that reason. It introduces the project through questions of beauty, self-image, and the way you see yourself, immediately putting us inside a very personal conflict. Instead of trying to begin with something huge just to grab attention, the song establishes what the EP actually wants to talk about. It feels almost like the starting point of a character who knows something is wrong but has not figured out exactly what to do with those feelings yet.
Then BLIND pushes that feeling further. If NATURAL introduces the insecurity, BLIND feels much more like being completely lost inside it. And that is where I think the structure of the EP becomes particularly interesting, because the songs that follow do not simply repeat the same emotional state. Little by little, there is this feeling of someone understanding herself, confronting different emotions, and eventually beginning to find her way out of them. By the end, it feels like we have actually gone somewhere with her.
I also really appreciate that the songs are allowed to breathe. Every track being over three minutes might sound like a small detail, but with how common extremely short songs have become, it genuinely makes a difference. Nothing here feels like it was cut down just to get to the chorus faster or become easier to replay. The songs have enough time to develop their ideas, and that helps the storytelling because each part of the EP feels like an actual chapter instead of a quick transition to the next one.
Of course, having a narrative does not automatically make a project good. What matters is whether that progression can actually be felt through the music, and for the most part, I think it can. The EP understands the emotional journey it wants to create and gives each song a reason to exist within it. Even when I prefer certain moments over others, I do not get the feeling that something was simply added to make the tracklist longer.
Overall, this is a genuinely strong EP, but what I like most about it is how complete it feels. It starts with someone questioning herself, moves through confusion and uncertainty, and gradually turns that into something closer to self-discovery. There is a beginning, a middle, and an end. For a relatively small project, it manages to tell a surprisingly complete story, and that is what makes it feel like much more than just a few good songs put together.
